6th Grade Preview Tonight
2 Sessions will be offered: 5:30-6:30 and 6:30-7:30

The Teen Court banquet has been rescheduled for next Thursday, April 24th


Now with the weather warming, we are seeing lots of dress code violations.  Remember dresses, skirts or shorts all must reach your knees - this is with no help from leggings or tights.  Baseball hats are only permitted on hat day - they are not allowed at recess.  General rule: If in doubt, don't wear.  Take a minute to review the dress code policy in your planner.


"Attention drama club participants! Listen up! This Monday, after school, we will be hosting a Brighton High School student, who would like to talk to you about theater! Please join us in Ms. May's room, B102, from 3-4. Snacks will be provided! See Ms. May with any questions."


Students, if you have a basketball, football, soccer ball, bats, gloves, lacrosse sticks, or other sports equipment, please bring them to the office at the beginning of the day. We have a special place set up just for your stuff. You are welcome to stop by the office on your way to lunch so that you can use your equipment outside and then return it to the office before going back to class. Please don't carry these things to classes or play with them in the hallways. We want to keep everybody safe and distraction free! Thanks for keeping it safe!


Anime club today at 3:00pm in the library, don't forget to bring your drawings.

Lost and Found will be donated to Good Will this Friday. Students need to check Lost and Found daily for missing items. We will continue to do this every Friday due to health reasons


Yearbook are now on sale!

This is your final chance to pre-order your 2014 Stuart Middle School yearbook.  We only have 84 copies of the yearbook available.  Once they are sold out we cannot purchase more.  To ensure you get your yearbook, order online at
www.jostens.com or bring your order form to the main office with payment before May 6th. Students who order before May 6th will be invited to the exclusive release party taking place on Friday, May 16th.  The cost of the yearbook is $35.  Don’t miss out.  Order your yearbook today.

Dear Stuart Middle School Families,

All I can say is WOW! Your kindness and generosity is overwhelming and we are blessed to have such supportive families as part of our community! Because of your help and support for shirt sales, bake sales, chili suppers, silent auctions, and extremely generous donations we have raised about $4000 to help Mrs. Wagner and her family in their fight against cancer! I hope you are laughing out loud right now because that is something to be proud of! I know I speak for the Wagner family as well as our Stuart staff when I say thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are so grateful for you! Don’t forget, we still have the dance this Friday and a few other things up our sleeves…so stay tuned! 

I also wanted to give you a few additional details about the next set of assessments coming up in a couple of weeks. These assessments are called Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) and are for 7th grade Social Studies and 8th grade Science. We are again looking for near 100% attendance in order to keep students in their regular classes as much as possible. Please help us out by getting your student here on time for their scheduled day of assessment. These assessment days also count toward our Extra Big Extravaganza Day on May 7th… more on that later. Here is the assessment schedule for your convenience:

Scholarship opportunity

Through the Student Leadership class, we will be offering one $500 scholarship to a graduating student at either Brighton High School, Prairie View High School, or Eagle Ridge Academy.  The application has been sent to all three high schools.  The deadline for the applications to be returned to the counseling department is Friday, May 9th.  If you know of any families who have a graduating senior that attended Stuart in the 8th grade, please feel free to forward the application to them.
